On Tuesday the 11th December We managed to get out in clear blue skies and enjoy a quite day on Helvellyn. Conditions were good for the time of year which meant that the routes were climbable.

The first part of V Corner was iced up with the middle section being slightly softer and the final section being of hard compact snow.
leading to an enjoyable climb and easy climb.

If the conditions remain cold we could see the face of Helvellyn being a busy place this weekend.
